We craft luxury kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, laundry rooms, basements and more—uniting timeless design with everyday function. From concept to completion, our in-house team delivers quality, honesty, and lasting value.
Jeremy Hesselink first founded Harmonic Home Services, a handyman company that naturally grew into light remodeling with a focus on kitchens and bathrooms. Along the way, Paul became a key team member, bringing skill, leadership, and a customer-first approach that set projects apart.
After moving on from Harmonic, both Jeremy and Paul pursued their own paths — but it became clear that their best work happened when they worked together. Copper Oak Kitchen & Bath represents that reunion: a partnership built on trust, lessons learned, and a vision to take remodeling to new heights.
Together, they’ve combined experience, resources, and passion to create a company that delivers warm, timeless, and tailored spaces — and a customer experience rooted in integrity and care.
Copper Oak isn’t just about remodeling kitchens and baths — it’s about building a team and a culture customers can trust.
Take responsibility for outcomes — because details and follow‑through matter.
Problems happen; we meet them with options, ownership, and calm execution.
We improve our craft, systems, and communication with every project.
Even when it’s hard — integrity comes first.
Direct, timely updates keep clients informed and projects on track.
We address issues head‑on and work through them professionally.
We chose the name Copper Oak Kitchen & Bath because both materials represent beauty in their simplest forms. Copper is strong yet flexible, and oak is timeless and dependable. Together, they capture our commitment to craftsmanship: warm, enduring, and made to be shaped into something beautiful.
Remodelers in Naperville and Chicagoland are plentiful — but we treat every project like it’s our own home. We don’t just manage jobs; we live and breathe them. When things don’t go right, we feel it personally. That level of responsibility and care drives world‑class communication, craftsmanship, and a customer experience you can trust.
Jeremy has worked in the trades since 2003, beginning as an HVAC technician before founding Harmonic HVAC in 2013 and later Harmonic Home Services in 2018. After exiting the enterprise in 2023, he shifted into coaching and consulting other business owners — but the pull of remodeling and building something enduring brought him back to partner with Paul and create Copper Oak.
At Copper Oak, Jeremy serves as the strategic partner, focusing on growth, healthy operations, and creating long-term security for both clients and employees. His guiding philosophy is simple: warm, timeless, and tailored — just like home.
Outside of work, Jeremy is a devoted family man, married for 16 years with two children. He volunteers as a youth football coach, loves gaming with his kids (Minecraft and Magic: The Gathering are family favorites), and is an avid Formula 1 racing fan. Every year, he and his family make it a goal to travel somewhere new, always adding to their shared experiences and memories.
Fun Fact: Jeremy has a deep sense of empathy — a strength that drives him to connect with people on a personal level.
Paul’s passion for building began early. As a teenager, he spent weekends helping a family friend construct a home from the ground up — hauling lumber, shoveling snow, and keeping the jobsite clean. Far from being discouraged by the hard work, he loved every minute of it. That experience sparked a lifelong interest in the trades.
From there, Paul apprenticed as an electrician through high school, went on to earn a Construction Management degree, and became a licensed electrician. But it was when he joined a remodeling company — where he could see an entire project through from start to finish — that he discovered his true calling.
At Copper Oak, Paul is the Operating Partner, focusing on project execution, design/build, client relationships, and quality control. He believes every remodeling project should be an exciting journey, not a stressful one. From the very first meeting, he works to understand each client’s vision, priorities, and lifestyle, ensuring the final result reflects their unique tastes and needs.
Outside of work, Paul has been married to his wife for 17 years, and together they are raising 11-year-old twin daughters — along with their family dog, Millie. Much of their family time is spent on the road with Yorkville Foxes travel softball, where they’ve been active for the past two years.
Fun Fact: Paul has a unique knack for remembering jokes — and is always ready with a dad joke to make people smile.
My career is all about building great environments—for teams and for customers. I started in retail management, where I focused on developing strong teams and providing exceptional service. What really drives me is the chance to coordinate and problem-solve, ensuring that both employees and customers have a positive, reliable experience. I believe that resilience, consistency and honesty are the foundation for any successful team and a company that homeowners can truly depend on. I am focused on supporting our team’s growth while ensuring our homeowners receive reliable service built on lasting value.
When I’m not supporting our team, you can find me embracing life with three kids and two pups, watching sports with my husband, at a paint n’ sip ladies night, relaxing by the pool or getting lost in a good book.
My fascination with architecture and design started young. Growing up in a New England colonial home, I was immersed in the craft of building- watching my parents, weekend artists & carpenters constantly updating our house, with Bob Vila and Norm Abram as our early design heroes. After initially studying Fine Art and Art History from a young age, I had an epiphany when I accidentally stumbled into the Interior Design department of my university. Suddenly, everything clicked, and I knew where my real focus should be- I switched my major and never looked back!
I specialize in residential interiors, with a deep passion for interior architecture and custom millwork. My strength lies in the details—the unique piece of trim, the custom edge profile—those subtle elements your subconscious registers as distinctive and exquisite. My philosophy is that your home should be an expression and extension of you; it should feel like a perfect, well-worn leather shoe, molded precisely to your life.
As your designer, I collaborate closely with our team to elevate the beauty and craftsmanship of your home while ensuring it’s tailored to your exact style and functional needs.
When I step away from the drawing board, you’ll find me outdoors: at the beach, running, walking, gardening or enjoying a big meal with family and friends on the patio.
My journey into carpentry began as a kid, watching an addition take shape on my family home. That early curiosity turned into a profession as I spent college summers framing houses and learning the trade from the ground up. Today, I bring that foundation to every project, focusing on what I do best: managing the fine details, maintaining clear communication, and keeping operations highly efficient. This approach ensures that every job is not only safe and timely but that the specific vision for each home is cared for with precision.
I believe that great work is rooted in integrity—doing things correctly and never cutting corners is the only way to deliver lasting value. At Copper Oak, I’m dedicated to working honestly with our clients to help them realize their best possible home. When I’m not focused on a remodel, I’m usually outdoors hiking or at an easel painting portraits and landscapes.
